History

Bioglobal was established in 2000 in Brisbane, Australia.

The intent was always to develop, manufacture, and sell semiochemical-based pest management products and related technical services.

Our Story

The development of pheromone-based mating disruption products and kairomone-based products started at its establishment in 2000. The first batch of relevant patents were filed in 2003 and 2004.

From 2005, Bioglobal commenced distribution of kairomone products in Australia and entered distributor arrangements with companies in the United States and South Africa. In 2007 and 2008, trials of kairomone products began in South Africa and China, and the first production facility for manufacturing mating disruption products was built in Melbourne, Australia.

From 2009 to 2011, additional production facilities were set up in China, and trials of kairomone products were run in South Africa, India, Saudi Arabia, and China. During the same period the application for registering a mating disruption product for controlling Oriental Fruit Moths in China was filed.  Registration exemption for kairomone products was obtained from the Australian registration authority and product registration for BioAttract-Heli in South Africa was successfully completed.

In 2012, the main manufacturing and research facilities relocated to Shenzhen and the bulk of company management moved to Shenzhen as a result of the change of control of Bioglobal. In the same year, Bioglobal established its kairomone product facility in China signaling a focus on that market, taking advantage of China's diversity of geographical allocations, crop varieties and pest varieties.

Bioglobal conducted massive scale trials and obtained sales of kairomone products for demonstration purposes on cotton, maize, soybean, peanuts, tobacco, sugarcane, rice and vegetables. Meanwhile, Bioglobal obtained the registration of mating disruption products for controlling Oriental Fruit Moths and Codling Moths in China. The Bioglobal research and development team also developed a series of new mating disruption products and kairomone products. In the past two years, Bioglobal started technology and product cooperation with several large agrichemical companies.
